Simple*ology by Mark Joyner ![]() This actually started out (and is still available!) as a free web-based course, found here. More recently the book version was released. The beauty—and genius!—of Simpleology is its "Duh!" factor. And this is also its biggest challenge! You see, we all know that "The Five Laws of Simpleology" are the keys to success. They're obvious. They're, well, simple. Go to Simpleology right now to find out what they are! What I like about this course, though, is the way it is designed to really, really impress upon you the lessons in "The Five Laws". It is structured in a totally no-brainer way, with clear instructions, and a day-by-day breakdown of how to work your way through the material. The whole course is structured to take 18 days. About half an hour in the morning and again at night, I would say. But no matter how long it takes you, it truly is an investment in yourself, your productivity, your focus, and mostly... your effectiveness. Your ability to get the things done that matter and therefore get to where you want to go faster and with less stress. Sidenote: A perfect complement is Steven Covey's mind-blowingly transformational book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, which you can read about here. The other thing I love about the course is that it provides a daily framework for integrating these practices into your life. At first this seems like a chore, but stick at it and pretty soon you'll start to see the most AMAZING results and you'll be converted to this incredible practice. Because that's what it is: a practice to get more from life. I thought the book version would be exactly the same as the online-course, but having been a long-time raving convert to Simpleology, I was curious enough to lash out the 15 bucks or whatever it was in order to find out. And I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, the basic principles are the same. Why would they be changed when they work? But there is a great deal more discussion and a number of excellent examples in the book that help to elucidate the message more clearly. You don't really need the book—the free online course is sufficient. Nevertheless, if you'd like to read reviews of the book, click here. Really, do this stuff. It's so simple. But my, my... how it works! P.S. And read about The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People too. They dovetail so nicely that it's sometimes hard to tell which strategies (that I apply daily, might I add) come from where. |
